There’s a new trend cropping up in Baltimore: craft coffee shops.  Small-batch, artisanal coffee roasters are the new craze around town.  Craft coffee shops roast their own beans (usually on site), and perfect the brewing process while taking pride in sourcing beans from top growers.

Think of enjoying a cup of craft coffee like a glass of fine wine.  These cups of joe are full of flavors and nuances that you won’t find in your typical on-the-go coffee shop.  Coffee descriptions read like something you’d find in Wine Spectator, with notes of plum, chocolate, caramel, and even lemongrass.  Coffee from a craft shop is an experience, not merely a liquid wake-up call.

And, since your daily joe has proven health benefits (according to the NIH, coffee is a top source of antioxidant polyphenols), it’s time to visit one of the Baltimore area’s best craft brewers to get your daily dose of health and flavor.
